August 2026 Virtual Dialogue: Beyond Celebration, Are young people truly shaping Global Governance?

Every year, the world applauds young people. We get hashtags, panels, awards, and a seat at the “youth table” for one photo or maybe two. But when the real decisions are made about the policies, the budgets, the treaties that will define the next 50 years how many young people are actually in the room?
That’s the question we’re not afraid to ask this August.
Beyond Celebration Are Young People Truly shaping Global Governance?
It’s time to move past the applause and ask the harder question: is youth participation in governance real, or is it performance? Are we shaping the future, or just being shown a seat we’re never allowed to sit in?
This dialogue is a call to:
Find out, honestly, whether the world truly listens to the youth it claims to celebrate or whether it mostly stops at celebration.
Discuss the reforms needed to increase real youth participation in governance, at national and global level.
Show young people practical ways they can influence global policy and not just theory.
Build the leadership skills young people need to earn and use a seat at the policy table.
This is not just another talk. This is a wake-up call for the leader already inside you, one that challenges the way you see yourself, your voice, and your place in shaping the world.
